The Role
Bloomberg is seeking for an experienced Web/Interactive Designer to join our New York
Creative team. This person must be extremely self-motivated, as they will be working within a small team based in Manhattan and liaising with a team in London and Tokyo on various creative projects that support our business units. The person in this role must be a self-starter conceptual designer with excellent technical skills who will bring original ideas and fresh approaches to each project. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive understanding of interactive design, including concepting, storyboarding, and animating with a sense of urgency for interactive platforms ranging from websites to software applications, and mobile devices. Candidates must possess an advanced training in the art and science of graphic/interactive design. In addition, the candidate must possess a portfolio of successful and unique new-media interaction designs. **Applicants must submit a resume and online portfolio with functional URLs for consideration.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree or related work experience
-Minimum of six years of experience in the design field
-Mastery of tools to envision and produce interaction designs is prerequisite.
-Master of Adobe Creative Suite CS3+
-Master of Flash and ActionScript
-Notable experience with Java script, HTML, CSS
-Experience with PHP, Flex, ColdFusion, UI, UX, and Information Architecture is a plus
-Experience with Conception, Design, Flash Programming, Information Architecture,
User Experience, Mentoring
-Ability to self-manage projects and work within tight deadlines
-Skilled at pitching and interfacing with clients
-Highly conceptual thinker
-Excellent graphic design and typography skills
-Excellent collaborative and communication skills
-Strong organizational and time management skills
-Superb presentation skills
-Ability to multitask
