This leading manufacturer and marketer of petroleum and petrochemical products is currently seeking heavy duty truck mechanics for day shift at their Lawrence, NY terminal. Overview
Mechanics will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing problems on major and minor components and systems for both, power units and trailers. Additional responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to, preventive maintenance services, government inspections and management of tire inventory. Mechanics will maintain fleet records and requirements according to company and regulatory guidelines. Shift begins at 11:00am, Tuesday thru Saturday. Mechanics typically average 8 hours per day. Mechanics may be "on call" after hours and on weekends. This is a union position.

$26.20 per hour to start

Requirements
5 years experience performing heavy duty truck & trailer repairs
CDL A
1 year tractor-trailer experience required
“H” (hazmat) and “N” (tanker) endorsements
Must have TWIC card or willing to start process by time of hire**
Must have High School Diploma or GED
NO DWI/DUI in past 10 years
