Application Developer - Business Analyst

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Develop or receive designs for changes to the system.​ Work with external vendors or other teams to ensure the correct design and implementation of components that require external interfaces.​
* Develop source code leveraging Callidus TrueComp Developer GUI and other related technologies.​
* Appropriately check in and merge developed source files according to their target releases.​
* Develop unit tests correlating to given requirements for each assigned task.​
* Execute unit/​system integration test cases prior to submitting to QA or UAT.​
* Work in a team environment by submitting design, source code, and unit test cases for review and performing reviews of other team member's deliverables.​
* Respond to production issues with details of their impact and what the fix requires.​
* Required to be skilled in undertaking complex projects
* Interact with Financial, Consumer Electronic Operations and OEM Business Units to ensure that requirements are complete and feasible .​

Minimum Qualifications:
* BA or BS.​
* 3-5 Experience in relevant IT-related field

The Associated Press seeks a Photo Retoucher/Indexer for its New York City office.

The Photo Retoucher/Indexer will be responsible for image scans, image retouch, metadata entry and quality control and associated workflows. The position is located at AP headquarters in New York, reporting to the Photo Library Manager.

RESPONSIBLITIES:
# Operate film scanners to produce digital images and retouch said images in conformance with AP quality standards
# Generate photo captions and metadata pursuant to AP standards
# Perform quality control of image and metadata work of others as necessary
# Other tasks related to the digitization and inclusion of images in the AP digital archive, as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:
# Strong knowledge of photographic workflows from camera to output, both film and digital

The Technical Producer will be responsible for the planning and development of HBO websites.​ This individual will work in conjunction with web team members (producers, designers and editors) as well as back end developers to scope out and implement projects.​

Seek assistant / stylist for antique dealer (NYC)

A assistant/stylist is needed for a dealer of 20th century furniture and decoration, who has booths in antique centers in the metro area.

Primary tasks:
--Style and arrange small pieces of furniture and decorative accessories, including rotating stock for the smaller decorative pieces
--Hang and place wall sconces, mirrors and chandeliers
--Replace light bulbs as needed
--Verify and replace merchandise tags as needed
--Select floor coverings and wall colors
--Assist in collection, unpacking and storage of new purchases
--Prepare items for delivery to booths in antique malls
--Prepare items for sale at auction houses
--List and sell items on ebay
--Package and ship by post or UPS items sold on ebay
--Assist in set up and placement of items during photo shoots

Tasks assigned will vary depending on the current projects and the skills of the person hired. In the beginning I anticipate approximately 5 hours of work per week.
Over time, the workload will develop according to the skills, talents and enthusiasm of the person hired.

This position could be ideal for a student of interior design or recent graduate. This position could also be a good match for someone like an actor, photographer, freelancer, stay at home parent, etc. – someone for whom part time work fits into their plans for the near future. Work will be paid at an hourly rate of $20. The work is of an indefinite duration. Use of a car would be a great help for bringing new merchandise to centers, as well as removing pieces, although certainly not necessary. POSITION DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES
The City University of New York Graduate School of Journalism is seeking a broadcast journalist with significant experience in traditional television news who also embraces new techniques in video and audio storytelling. The position will require teaching, mentoring and helping develop an evolving broadcast curriculum in a converged media environment.

The successful candidate will be expected to remain active in the industry and develop a portfolio of video journalism projects that have been telecast and/or webcast by respected news organizations; to bring depth, enthusiasm and a strong sense of ethics to the classroom; and to participate in the public life of the school.

We seek journalists with strong ties to the professional community, locally, nationally and internationally. We value a commitment to diversity in news coverage and in the newsroom.
The CUNY Graduate School of Journalism is the only publicly supported graduate school of journalism in the northeast. Candidates should have a Master’s degree and at least ten years of experience in broadcast journalism as a television reporter or producer, with at least five in a major market. Teaching experience is required. The preferred candidate will have some production and post-production experience, as well as an understanding of new media and an interest in producing across media platforms. Radio experience is an asset.
