Brokerage Operations Associate

By joining SIG as a Brokerage Desk Operations Associate, you will support and collaborate with our sales traders, who are part of a leading derivatives and stock sales force that provides our clients with differentiated equity research and trading expertise. Updating profit and loss reports (P&L), trade reconciliation, and report creation will be key components of your role on this team. You will also frequently interact with clearing firm representatives, customers, and colleagues as you work to troubleshoot issues associated with trade settlement, reconciliation, as well as reporting and status. Reconcile trade discrepancies
Research settlement problems of aged trades
Troubleshoot and problem solve issues that may arise with trades
Provide support to both customers and sales traders as needed
Produce profit and loss reports for brokerage business
Report trades to customers/clearing broker at the day's end
Maintain trade information/details in internal database system for accurate recordkeeping

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree required
A minimum of three (3) years of related work experience supporting equities and options required
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access required; advanced skills with each of these software applications strongly preferred
Must be diligent and meticulous with an exceptional attention to detail
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure
Excellent communication and organizational skills are required
Willingness to work additional hours when necessary essential
