Job Description:
This position is responsible for creating and ensuring the execution of a priority driven IT strategy for the global Rates and Credit businesses (including US Mortgages). This role functions as a liaison for the business, working along side the IT functional heads and business support team to drive IT priorities (short term and strategic) are met across IT functions (pricing, risk, ecomm, etc).
Individuals in this role will face off directly to the Head of a Business within GDM/FIC and will be accountable for comprehensively defining 'what' a business needs and then driving that through to execution. This role will report directly to the Head of GDMT/FICT.

Technical Skills
- In depth understanding of how technology is used by front office businesses is critical.
- Experience managing large scale technology implementations is a must.
- Knowledge of industry best practices.
- Past experience with hands on CM technology development is desirable.

Business Knowledge
- 15+ years of experience in Capital Markets.
- Possesses an understanding of Fixed Income products that is at least as strong as the front office.

Key Accountabilities:
- Help set and drive a unique desk strategy consistent with overall GDM/FIC strategy
- Ensure desk needs are getting addressed in a timely manner
- Balance the various and sometimes competing priorities across geographies
- Directly own platforms and teams which are 100% aligned to a specific business (i.e. Apama & RATS for FX)
- Accountable for execution on short and long term initiatives that are based on the overall IT strategy.
- Responsible for the IT spend of relevant business line(s), instrumental in annual budgeting for new development, maintenance and enhancement funding.
- Create clear and concise documentation and communication plans to clients and IT partners.
- Build and manage teams to support Business Execution efforts.
